Brick in Architecture Awards

Competition Details & Categories

Once again, the Brick In Architecture Awards will be conducted entirely online. For your ease and convenience, this includes all aspects of registration and entry submission. You will also be able to revise and enhance your submission at any point up until the competition's closing date.

Additionally, we have created a structure with more specific entry categories so that judging will be more encompassing of a variety of project styles. A firm may submit multiple entries if desired, either within the same category or among multiple categories. In 2008, winners will be selected from each of the following scheduled categories:

  • Commercial *
  • Educational / Schools **
  • Health Care Facilities
  • Municipal / Government
  • House of Worship
  • Non-Residential Paving & Landscape Architecture

* Includes retail, banking, hotels, office/corporate buildings, town centers, sporting facilities, performing art centers, parking garages, etc.
** Includes residence halls and academic/administrative buildings.

Once again , the residential categories have been moved to their own competition - The Brick In HomeBuilding Awards. Any residential work - single family, multi-family, custom built, and others - can be entered into this competition starting in late April 2008. Check www.gobrick.com for details.

Registration will begin in January 2008 and will require a non-refundable entry fee for each separate submission presented for consideration. Entry fees are currently as follows:
  Architects, Designers, Landscape Architects $225
  Non-BIA Members Companies $225
  Masonry Associations $150
  BIA Regions $100
  BIA Member Companies $100

Payments will be made online or by check. Online payments can be secured through a Visa, MasterCard, or American Express credit card.
